Hey South Shore, last weekend gave us two waterfront wins in Bay Shore. The 8th Annual SeaFest filled the marina and Art's Festival by the Bay marked its 25th year at Dr. King's Park Bandshell, and the weather held for both. The marina crowd ran deep, the bandshell lawn stayed full, and if you walked either one you felt the whole region out at once.
This weekend keeps the calendar packed straight through Sunday, which lands on Father's Day. Patchogue carries the load this week, with a TV adventurer on one stage and a chart-topper on another the same night, then a Grammy winner closing things out Sunday. Bay Shore and Babylon hold their own with the real players behind Billy Joel's records and a full-throttle Eagles tribute.
To every dad on the South Shore, happy Father's Day on Sunday. Now let's get into it.

We're heading into a Father's Day Sunday with wine under the vines in Sayville, a Grammy winner at Patchogue Theatre, and a beach bar running music straight through to the holiday. The neighbors who tipped us off to a show, the small rooms betting on a Friday night, the vendors setting up at the market before sunrise: they're the reason there's anything to write about here.
To every dad reading this, we hope someone takes care of you the way you take care of everyone else. See you out there.
